Meet the Caseys
Our journey into farming began in the summer of 2015 when just months before we married we adopted two Alpine goats. The misses had just graduated from Emory University and was eager to raise goats to provide dairy for the household. Little did I realize how much joy the little jumpy and playful kids would be. When the time came to breed we found a stud named Faro who introduced us into the crazy displays of goat courtship. 150 days later we witnessed the miracle of birth and the cycle of caring for the little ones began again. Along with that came daily milking and it didn't take long before our fridge was overrun! With the plentiful milk supply and hearts full of joy we wanted to share the experience with others. So, in September of 2016, Casey's Goats and Goods was established to do just that. We hope you enjoy the quality produce and products we offer as well as find the peace and goodness of The One that makes it all possible. As we continue this adventure we wish to share more about our mission; So we invite you to check back in with us from time to time to see what great things we envision come to life.
Meet the Goats.
Faith and Annabelle were the first goats adopted into the family. They are both ADGA registered and come from the best breeder in Georgia. Annabelle has a feisty personality and is the herd boss, at least when Mrs. Casey isn't around, but also has a sweet side that loves getting scratched and being playful. Faith loves being around people and is usually the first to approach a newcomer and sniff them out. Watch your shoes, Faith loves to untie them, especially when your not looking. Kaye is Faiths daughter and loves to snuggle and interact with people. When forming Casey's Goats and Goods we formed a philosophy that emphasizes the wellbeing of the animals over any other purpose. That means that health, diet, and care is put before all other purposes. We believe putting the animal first is not only the right thing to do but the only way to ask them for something good in return.
